Coral Bay

Our northernmost stop was before heading back to Perth was Coral Bay. The clutch went out just as we were turning onto the road headed here, so we needed a little tow for the remaining 12km. We didn't get to stay at Bullara Station as planned, but the little resort type area of Coral Bay couldn't have been a better place to break down and be without transportation for a few days! We took a glass bottom boat tour and the kids got to feed the fish. Very cool! Another day Doug did snorkeling with whale sharks!! He said it was his favorite part of the trip!
Giant coral right below the surface, very rare to be this size

Not sure why he doesn't have any pants on...

Drinks while chillin in the water!

Happy Birthday Jonah!!

Happy 2nd Birthday to this sweet boy!! Can't believe our baby in two!! We had a small Paw Patrol celebration for because that's his favorite right now! The day didn't start out to great with us having to clear out the camper van for it to be towed to get fixed but it ended great with some beach time and treats after dinner! Our Jony Pony is quick to give a baby belly giggle, a cheesy mischievous grin, a quick kiss or a big squeeze! Everyone loves him (and how could you not?) with his blond hair and sweet face! We love this silly little guy more than words!!

Blowholes and a Beach

We did a few small stops along the way. Blowholes and another gorgeous beach! The beach was a small peninsula with soft sand, shallow water and cool shells. The kids adored this beach! The blowholes were very cool too. Something we had never experienced. It was fun to hear the roar of the wave then have the water shoot out! The kids and Doug stood in the spray to help cool down.

Diving with Sharks and Aquarium

Today we went to the aquarium and Doug went scuba diving with sharks. The aquarium wasn't much to look at (very small) but you go around each tank with a guide and they talk about each fish in each tank. It ended u being very informative and they had lots very interesting species (each with silly/clever/cheeky little stories of their personalities)!! Just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by its cover... Doug also dove in their tank with sharks. It was a cool experience, and he even found real sharks teeth on the bottom!
